Exactal Sponsors the 2013 AIQS Conference
Exactal is very pleased to announce their sponsorship of the upcoming 2013 AIQS Conference, held in partnership with the ACES and the AACE, entitled ‘Project Cost Management: Control at the Interface with BIM’.
The conference will be held at the Rydges Hotel in Perth on the 7th of March and will focus on Building Information Modelling and integrated systems used in the Construction and Resources Industries. The conference will offer key insights into current and future management skills of Quantity Surveyors and Cost Engineers at the interface with 3D Modelling & Visualisation. There is a great line-up of speakers arranged, including senior management from many of the most influential QS companies around Australia. The full line-up of speakers can be viewed here.
Sales Manager Audrey Jinks states “We are very excited about the upcoming conference and the opportunities it will present for the QS, cost engineering and general construction communities in Australia. With so much construction activity in Perth, and BIM rising to the forefront of importance, there has never been a better time to discover how you can assist your business with BIM. I encourage all businesses and individuals interested in BIM to register to attend”.
With CostX® supporting a wide variety of BIM features, and with nine out of ten of the largest quantity surveying firms in the country using the software, it was an obvious choice for Exactal to sponsor the conference. A presentation on how CostX® can assist with Project Cost Management will be included as part of the day’s proceedings.

Established in Brisbane, Australia in 2003 to develop software specifically for the quantity surveying and estimating market, Exactal has continued to expand its worldwide presence and now has not only two offices in Australia (with the second in Melbourne) and two offices in the UK (London and Newcastle Upon Tyne), but also offices in New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong, with sales and channel partner support across much of the globe. The main product CostX® provides a unique integration between the cost estimates and the elements on the CAD drawings that the estimate represents. This approach allows fast revisions of drawings to be easily handled and eliminates traditional scope creep in construction projects.
