Dimensioneering Announces New CEO

Dimensioneering is pleased to announce that after starting the company in 2003, founder and majority shareholder Mark Kefford is taking a new position in the group as Executive Chairman and Chief Software Architect. Murray Freeman, who was the group’s Chief Operating Officer, is the new Dimensioneering/Exactal CEO.

From starting in a very small office in Toowong, Australia, Exactal has grown to more than 6,500 commercial users running CostX® in over 70 countries around the globe. This exciting change is part of an acceleration of the company’s major strategy initiative, and comes at a time when Exactal is expanding at great rates; having just opened our eighth worldwide office.

Mark Kefford, who has been CEO since founding Exactal 12 years ago, has been integral to the company over the years, having been a key player in its creation and subsequent growth. Mark’s new position allows him to still play an important role in the company and focus on his key passion of technologies for future and long-term strategies.

Murray Freeman has been a Director of the company since its conception. As part of Exactal’s growth strategy, he later joined full time as the COO in December 2013, and he has implemented many important changes to this point. Murray has all the necessary experience required to ensure the continued success of Exactal and the Dimensioneering group of companies.

Mark Kefford states “I am truly excited by this new stage in Exactal’s growth, and it is a great pleasure for me to announce Murray Freeman as the new CEO. I have worked with Murray in four companies over the last 16 years and I believe he is the perfect person to take over the hands-on running of the organisation and continue to build the platform for the next phase of our growth. We have some exciting plans for the future and I believe it is important to have the right structure in place to ensure we achieve it. I congratulate Murray on his new position and I look forward to his strong leadership in his new role.”

Murray Freeman also adds “Exactal & Dimensioneering as a whole continue to see remarkable growth, and with so many new & interesting developments planned, I am very excited to be taking on the position of CEO. We have a great team of employees, as well as world-leading technology, and I relish the opportunity to lead this group into the future. I must thank Mark for his integral role as CEO thus far, and I look forward to collaborating with him as he continues to play a key part in the management of the Dimensioneering group”.

A new CEO heralds an important part of Dimensioneering’s expansion strategies. The company is excited for the future opportunities that these changes will bring, and we look forward to sharing more new developments as we progress forward.
