An Evening with BIM Estimating- An Exactal Event
Exactal is pleased to present the event series ‘An Evening with BIM Estimating’, to take place in Manchester and London on the evenings of 25th and 26th March respectively.
An Evening with BIM Estimating will focus on 5D BIM for the QS & also advise how architects, engineers and 3D modellers can produce 5D-friendly BIM. Exactal is also pleased to announce that Trevor Woods will be the principal speaker at the event. Trevor is a well-known Quantity Surveyor who has been working in real world BIM projects and will be talking about these experiences, the issues to monitor and how to avoid the pitfalls. Trevor also lectures to university students on the topic of BIM, including currently lecturing for a Postgraduate Collaborative BIM Technologies diploma at Dublin Institute of Technology. Simon Lovegrove, Exactal’s Estimating Solutions Director and current UK & Europe Regional Manager, will also be presenting. During the evening, the presenters will explore the good, the bad and the ugly of BIM estimating plus demonstrate how attendants can get 5D BIM to work for them.
The Manchester event is due to take place at the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors Training Suite, Dominion House, Sibson Rd, Sale, Cheshire, Manchester.
The London event is due to take place in Room MG28, Marylebone Campus, University of Westminster, 35 Marylebone Road, London.
Both events will run from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, with tea/coffee and biscuits included.
These events are part of Exactal’s expanding presence in the UK. With CostX® at the forefront of BIM estimating technology, the event series is designed to share knowledge of BIM estimating with others. While many are familiar with the BIM design process, the BIM estimating stage is a source of curiosity for several. It is hoped that this event will not only unshroud the mystery for estimators and quantity surveyors, but also show those who provide the models to this group how they can best assist.
