Exactal begins direct sales in Australia
Following on from the successful establishment of Exactal Pacific in NZ, Exactal wishes to announce it will now sell direct in Australia and will be assuming all responsibilities for the Australian client base from KarelCAD at the end of April 2009. Exactal has had a very long and successful relationship with KarelCAD and both companies will continue to work closely together in the future as the integration between estimating and CAD continues to grow.
Commenting on the changes, Exactal CEO Mr Mark Kefford, stated “KarelCAD have worked hard to establish CostX® within the construction industry and CostX® is now in use by a number of large quantity surveying and construction firms. Exactal thanks KarelCAD for their contribution and looks forward to working closely with them in the future.” Mark then continued “Exactal has been focused on providing specialist support for CostX® around the world through its own quantity surveyors. These staff members are fully trained on the CostX® range and we are now in a great position to provide specialised support to our customers.” Mark’s comments were echoed by Mr Paul Laycock, CEO of KarelCAD, who said “We have seen Exactal grow significantly over the last 5 years and are very pleased to have been a significant contributor to that growth and it just makes sense that both organisations continue to expand and join their resources together at the appropriate times to achieve the best outcomes for our clients. Both parties are now specialising in their respective fields and, as Australia’s largest CAD supplier, we will continue to work closely with Exactal in the future especially with leading edge products such as Revit®.”
Heading up the Estimating Solutions division is Mr Simon Lovegrove who joined Exactal full time in August 2008 from Turner & Townsend. Simon has now built a team of fully qualified quantity surveyors across New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom who provide 19 hours of support coverage a day to CostX® users. Commenting on the changes, Simon stated “Having a specialist in the field as the first line of support allows Exactal to solve most questions with the first phone call. Our team of specialists have been providing pre-sales, training and implementation services for KarelCAD and they will continue this service now directly for Exactal.”
Exactal and KarelCAD will be contacting all of the Australian CostX® users shortly to discuss the changes further. In the meantime, clients and prospects are welcome to contact either Mark Kefford at Exactal or Paul Laycock at KarelCAD directly.
