Exactal Expands Functionality for CostX® Benchmark

CostX® Benchmark, Exactal’s latest innovative software solution, has continued to evolve since its launch in April 2019. The platform supports users wishing to analyse past project data to create accurate conceptual estimates and project benchmarks. To date, numerous worldwide enterprises have implemented CostX® Benchmark to take advantage of their historical data.

The platform has been updated regularly since launch earlier this year, in an effort to broaden the functionalities on offer. Our Software as a Service (SaaS) platform now also supports an OData interface that integrates with platforms such as Power BI and Tableau for advanced dashboards and reports. Other improvements include the ability to visualise Functional Benchmarks in chart format, bulk import of clients lists and attributes, an option to easily exclude specific items and values for historical estimates and much more.

All product updates are automatically applied to CostX® Benchmark. An accompanying Help file within the CostX® Benchmark dashboard is revised concurrently with every new update, allowing users to apply these new features to their advantage.

CostX® Benchmark integrates seamlessly with Exactal’s flagship CostX® estimating software. Users can upload CostX® workbooks into CostX® Benchmark, while cost analyses structured within CostX® Benchmark can be directly downloaded into CostX® to form the basis of an estimate and then refined as necessary.

Exactal’s Chief Technology Officer Adam Lipinski noted: “We are pleased to see the early success of CostX® Benchmark and look forward to building upon the software as we move towards 2020. Client feedback for CostX® Benchmark has been invaluable and we are committed to making our web platform as efficient and functional as possible for our worldwide customers. The key to this is to continue to deliver functionality improvements, listen to clients and remain agile across our product teams, as best practice for benchmarking and conceptual estimating continues to evolve.”

Early adopters of CostX® Benchmark have reported productivity benefits since implementing the software. Wilde and Woollard Senior Associate Nick Wallace said: “CostX® Benchmark not only saves time in compiling benchmarking data, but also provides a platform to sort and use that data easily and efficiently. It allows us to input data from a wide range of project types and offers organised fields to sort and search our data, making the benchmarking process far more useful and accurate.”
